Wakawaka Volunteers, a local NGO founded by David Yesayah, strives to serve the people of its global community. By offering safe, affordable volunteer experiences, and accommodation, to the international community, Wakawaka Volunteers strives to help those in need, within its community.
Why Wakawaka ?
Whether you are a first time volunteer, or planning your next volunteer adventure, the Wakawaka team is prepared to provide you with the tools, resources, information and support that you will need. We provide meals, accommodation and cleaning so that you don’t have to waste your time on those things you have to take care of at home.
We know the area and the needs of the projects that we support and will help you adjust to the different ways of life here, in Arusha, as well as make the most of your time. Wakawaka was built from a desire to help its community as well as share this community with people from all over the world.
We believe that a good volunteer experience brings lasting change that extends throughout the world.
Where are we ?
Wakawaka is located in Arusha, Tanzania, in East Africa.
How we choose the projects that we support ?
There are countless projects that have been established to offer services to the children and adults of our community. Wakawaka founder, David Yesayah, has personally selected and verified that the projects to which we send our volunteers are effective, trustworthy and honourable. He has also determined that each of our projects is in need of the skills and resources of our volunteers, to ensure that their efforts make a lasting impact.
